Chinese Heritage Museum

 Google Maps Link :  Click Here   It was hot a Saturday afternoon, I parked my car at JB Sentral to visit the KTM Museum nearby, only to find out that it has been permanently closed. After having lunch at JB City Square, I walked southwards through the crowded Pasar Karat to visit Chinese Heritage Museum.  The museum is located in a row of shop units. It can be easily distinguished by its four-storey high structure, higher than other units in the row. Inside, it housed the story of Chinese community around Johor Bahru, with details of activities dating back to 1844. Below are some of the interesting tools and entertainment pieces of that period. Tanjung Balau Fishermen Museum

Website :  Click Here Entry Fee  : Free Google Maps Link  :  Click Here Tanjung Balau Beach is located on the east coast of Johor. The Fishermen Museum is located next to the beach. It has exhibits pertaining to fisheries and maritime archaeology. It's a rather spacious museum with multiple blocks of building.  I went to the Fisherman Gallery and Geology Gallery , but the Shipwreck Gallery was closed for renovation. The Fisherman Gallery had the details of various fishing techniques in Malaysia and equipments used. It also had a model of a typical fisherman's house and fishing village. When I entered the Geology Gallery, I was greeted by a roaring mechanical t-rex. It stands still but roars when there's someone entering through the door. A good place to scare someone, just let them walk ahead :D. This gallery had models of various types of rocks and minerals, amongst others. Read through the descriptions on below photos.
